You absolutely must seek out the Heri es-Souani, the vast granaries and stables built by Moulay Ismail. It's an incredible feat of engineering, with massive underground cisterns and enormous storage spaces designed to feed his army and horses. Standing inside, you can almost feel the history and imagine the scale of the sultan's ambition.
