Renting a raft or canoe and floating down the Vltava is an absolute must-do, especially on a warm day! It offers a completely unique perspective of the town, looking up at the castle and rooftops. Skip the restaurants right on the main square and wander a few streets away. Look for places filled with locals, especially in the evenings. I particularly enjoy finding smaller 'hospoda' (pubs) that serve hearty dishes like goulash or svíčková (marinated beef sirloin) with dumplings. They often have a more authentic atmosphere and better prices.
